I'm also kind of mad that they cut out Mami's backstory and wish. I really liked the improvement over some scenes. The art without a doubt was amazingly gorgeous, but that's pretty much the only thing that got better here than the series. The original version of the ED (Magia) was also better than the new one.
I like classical music, but they really didn't need to use it for every scene. It's not that the songs were bad, but it didn't fit the mood as perfectly as it did in the series. Like people already said, I was very disappointed that a lot of the background music (for example during the fight of Kyouko and Sayaka) was changed. Madoka Magica is still great as ever, though I liked the series more overall.
